Welcome
to Elmwood House where we invite you to enjoy the pleasures of yesteryear
in our vintage lodging. Elmwood House sits regally at the top of
Spring Street, which makes it conveniently located in the heart
of downtown Eureka Springs. Whether you want to shop, dine, tour
the galleries or stroll through historic Victorian neighborhoods,
your first step is to stay close to it all
and that's at Elmwood
House. We have private off-street parking for all of our guests,
so park your car and enjoy Eureka Springs by walking or jumping
on a trolley at either of 2 trolley stops close by.

Elmwood
House was built to provide fine lodging for travelers over a century
ago, and to this day continues to be one of Eureka Springs' premier
inns. This unique three-story building, constructed by T. Elwood
Clark in 1883, was one of the first brick structures built in Eureka
Springs and has countered many devastating fires that plagued the
city. With an appreciation for authenticity, the owners of the Elmwood
House delight guests with the history of the building (there are
even some photos of the building in its' early years). One of the
features that has endured is the handsome red brick exterior, refurbished
to enhance its original beauty. The brick was formed by local clay,
and many clues to the original appearance of the Elmwood House are
still intact, such as ornate railings, brass hinge plates, locks
and doorbell.
